Welcome to Fiji High Commission

Message from High Commissioner

Bula Vinaka, Namaste and welcome to the website of the Fiji High Commission in New Delhi!

I thank you for taking your time to visit this site and am certain you shall find the information you need and learn more about Fiji and the multiple business and investment opportunities that exist, not to mention the exciting places to visit in Fiji.

For the prospective business persons, you can be assured of enormous opportunities for trade and investment in tourism, agriculture, energy, fisheries, forestry, health, ICT, manufacturing to mining and groundwater and audio-visual field amongst others. We will be happy to guide and connect you with key contact persons at the Investment Fiji and other agencies to enable you to realise your dreams. For those interested in travelling to Fiji, these is no better time than now, and the best time to travel is anytime of the year! Yes, with average temperatures of 24-28⁰C all around the year and with pristine clear waters, white sandy beaches and swaying palm trees it can be fairly tempting. Indian nationals do not require visa to enter Fiji as these are issued upon arrival but do check for any requirements or travel advisory as they are issued from time to time in this post-pandemic times.

This mission in New Delhi is also cross-accredited to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and we also  process visa applications, passport renewals, work and study permits, dual citizenship, certificates of identity, and provide other consular services to our nationals living and studying in India and our countries of accreditation.

Whilst Fiji maintained a Covid-free status for over 380 days last year, by April 2021 we also succumbed to the pandemic with over 64,000 cases to date. In this backdrop, the Government closed our borders to foreign nationals of some countries where Covid is still widely prevalent until this situation passes, and no effort is spared in containing and managing the spread in the country. Fiji reopened to its travel partner countries in December 2021. All hotels in Fiji follow Covid safe health and safety protocols by deploying WHO-approved standard of best-practice health and safety measures for travel in a post-COVID world.  Through the Care Fiji Commitment (CFC), every tourism business has a dedicated Wellness Ambassador who is responsible for rolling out enhanced health and safety measures, and all staff in the industry are fully vaccinated.  Good news is that almost all of Fiji over the age of 15 are now fully vaccinated so visitors and locals alike can move around freely.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Consulate and of course to welcoming you on our shores in Fiji!

HE Kamlesh Prakash
High Commissioner
Fiji High Commission, New Delhi.
